Supreme Standards: Szun Waves & Kayla Painter (Live AV Show)

Supreme Standards will be at Five Miles in Seven Sisters on 29 May taking one of the best sound systems in London for a spin.

Szun Waves are Luke Abbott, Jack Wyllie (Portico Quartet) and Laurence Pike (PVT); three musicians combining their distinct talents together to create rich soundscapes that draw from jazz, electronica and beyond.

Opening the evening is an AV show from ethereal composer and sound designer Kayla Painter.

Creating audio visual journeys that blend her own experimental approach to live ambient music with the stunning visuals from AV artist Jason Baker.

Szun Waves

A super group comprising of three game-changers in their fields, Szun Waves members gather from the UK and Australia for 29 May. They combine elements of spiritual and experimental jazz with electronica, to create a live show that travels through ambient, high energy and uplifting sounds.

Kayla Painter

One of Gilles Peterson’s Future Bubblers, Bristol based Kayla Painter has been steadily rising, recognised for her innovative use of field recordings, unusual instruments and visual elements. Her music takes you from contemplative daydreaming to the dance-floor.
